  2. Which CC game do you play?

    I haven't played anything in CC2 other than the official set - I wish I had more time to spend on it, and as such I barely squeaked through it and probably forget what half the new tiles do . So it has been easier for me to play CC1 when I do get playing time...

    I can confirm that the latest update fixes the score glitches from before. I haven't really gotten to play too much though this way - anyone notice any gameplay glitches?

    Wow it works... This is awesome! I wonder how long this has been around... I had search for something like this multiple times I thought a while ago, so I wonder if this is relatively new... thanks Andrew! I will for sure have to add this to my list of ways to play CC on 64-bit machines, definitely near the top of the list. edit - OK I found a few quirks so far... the High Scores window only shows you level 1, and it doesn't remember which level you left off at.

  7. Revamping my level set pages

    OK I'm finally getting around to updating the CC2 solvability list layout... It appears to be working now, although adding levels beyond the "total" number doesn't work yet, and now deleting those extra levels beyond the total seems to have broken for CC1 too... Hopefully will all be running smoothly soon...or in another month. Edit - if I'm understanding my code correctly, apparently deleting "extra" levels never did work on CC1 either... I just have to do it manually in the database for now I guess... I did tweak and fix some other issues.
  8. Revamping my level set pages

    Yeah at this point the only way to delete a set is actually to take it out of the database, so I only leave that to me I'll delete it. Thanks to everyone who has been updating the information! I noticed as I was looking at the pages, there appears to be some strange bug where no matter who edits a set, it is often showing me as the one to last modify it... I'll have to look into that. edit - Apparently all new sets were getting saved with me as the editor... This has been fixed now for future new sets, but the other ones were still saved incorrectly.

    Another bump to this topic... I have now added the CC2 level set section to my site. It is horribly out of date, so I would appreciate any and all help in getting it up to date. http://pillowpc2001.net/levels/index.php?set=2 I eventually plan on correcting the solvability tables...right now they still look like the CC1 table and show/save a column for MS and Lynx. I have a note to ignore this for now and just use the MS column for submitting solvability, but hopefully this will be fixed soon.

    Ah OK that makes sense...I did realize the closer I looked that it was only a few designers' sets that were updated, not all of them. Thanks!

    Anyone know why almost every level set in the CC1 download section now says it was last updated either this past Sunday or Monday?

As evidenced by my level output in the last few years, I definitely feel like my creativity has been dropping as I get older...although I think it is a combination of two things, which others already mentioned - 1) lack of time/real life getting in the way, and 2) being a perfectionist - lately I don't even want to start sitting down to design a level unless I can envision exactly how I want it to turn out...which typically results in me never sitting down to design a level. But then even these I still don't always end up completely satisfied with, so I probably need to just sit down and open up an editor one of these days and see what I come up with.

    When I get back to my computer I'll have to check if I have a video of it... but yes that chip might be tricky to get...maybe downright impossible. And thanks, glad you're enjoying it! Maybe someday it will grow again.

    Yes, that would be correct - well, I've solved all the levels in Lynx, I just didn't post them all on the scoreboard yet Yeah in the old days I was an optimizer, but lately I seem to have lost the time and patience to do much of that. I've been trying to optimize a bit as I go through CCLP4, but I'm not banging my head against the wall if I can't get those last few seconds...
