In J.B.'s let's play of the 1997 Frogger remake, he likened a certain level, "Mower Mania", to something that might be found in Chip's Challenge. As such, I've attempted to make this a reality. One note: The red keys are not required to complete the level, but they offer a significant time bonus to those more daring.

  3. Hello all

I've been registered for quite some time and never got around to greeting everyone before. My name is Rory, and I'm currently an undergraduate student of music composition. The history I have with Chip's Challenge is rather funny, as I discovered the game by pure chance - I came across the title ever-so-occasionally in passing, not even knowing what kind of game it was, and one day finally decided to look it up. 5-6 years ago, I first found a copy of the Microsoft version that I was able to play on my 32-bit notebook at the time, but my bond was was still tenuous. However, over time, I tried the game on other systems, such as the Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga, and DOS and started to like it much, much more. Now, I primarily use Tile World 2, but have also enjoyed Chuck's Challenge 3D and Chip's Challenge 2 on steam. I look forward to contributing and interacting some more here, especially once my studies wind down within the next few months!

This is a tileset based off the 1984 Atari/Commodore game, Boulder Dash (with some elements also used from its official and fan-made sequels.) Version for both Lynx and Microsoft are included with several tweaks made between the two to accommodate for different graphical behaviors. I've yet to draw some more fitting particle explosions, but the default ones don't look too bad - and new ones are by no means out of the question yet; I just don't have time currently. I've also included quite a few sounds as well as a different set of pop-up messages for TW2 users. Within the folder are two "rc" files - the "rc - BD" is the standard one that will use all the new elements: graphics, sounds, and messages (TW2). The other, "rc - BD-gfx_only" is also included, should you wish to use only the altered graphics alone. Please enjoy and don't hesitate to contact me with any queries and/or suggestions!
