I finally put together some CC2 levels. There are 16 levels here for now. I wasn't sure if I should call it something like Fairfair or Provingrounds, so I just went with something which could contain in my own name for once. The first two are actual levels that are not ported from CC1. However, neither puzzle was completely created by myself. (see the first two preview pictures) Thanks to pieguy for allowing me to play around with his design from years ago. For the other one, I didn't try to ask for approval. Most of the rest of the levels are simple ports from my CC1 levels. They are not my best CC1 levels, but the ones that were both easy to port and I liked for some reason. I also threw in three levels I had made and released for CC2 create competitions, mainly to have them in one place (and I don't plan on releasing many CC2 sets). I guess I submit these levels to be included in CC2LP1. More importantly, I hope you take a quick look and see if there is something here that could give you a few moments of enjoyment, puzzlement and escapism. Hope you enjoy! -Miika

Hi! It's been a while since I've released CC2 levels, and I finished this set up just in time for CC2LP1 submissions. Contained within are 100 levels that range from easy to very hard, all of which are solvable and contain replays (except one) if you get truly stuck. Additionally, there's a goodie bag which contains an old, rejected version of a level, two alternate CC2LP1 submission versions of levels, and the entire original IHNN1 (now IHNN0, because it's non-canon.) I've worked really hard on this ever since CCCreator was released and enjoyed playtesting over the past week, and I hope you all enjoy it too. Additional thanks to both chipster1059 and Andrew Menzies for playtesting assistance. You guys saved me a few hours, at least. Level 60 is a splitscreen level, and CC2 currently does not support second player input in splitscreen replays. The level is solvable and an alternate, standard view version is included with a replay. The level is definitely best played as a splitscreen level, however.

Here are 10 levels for my (potentially) upcoming CC2 set, Indy's Challenge. I hereby grant permission for these levels to be included in CC2LP1 and any Chip's Challenge 2 community packs superseding it. Solution replays are included for all 10 levels. Enjoy!

A collection of CC2 ports of CC1 levels I made that never got into an official set. Most of these play very similarly to their CC1 counterparts, with Parallels being the only level so far to have a section completely thrown out and replaced with something different. I tried to allow boot dropping wherever possible, but a few levels don't allow it (indicated with a hint and a "down arrow + no-boot sign" tile pair as a visual indicator). Unless something goes horribly wrong, I plan to add more levels to this set at least once before the CC2LP1 submission deadline.

A pair of additional CC2 levels I designed that I haven't put in a set yet, but want to submit for CC2LP1 voting. I don't plan to add more levels to this set, but might update these to fix bugs.

My submissions pack for CC2LP1. 50 levels with replays: 40 from TSAlpha. Monorail not submitted since it's in CCLP4. Two of Gimmick Isle Zero's sections were made into their own levels, both Great Job CC2 levels were shortened, and the transformer section of Enter the Void was made into its own level. 5 from TSBeta 4 from TSNull 1 unreleased port of a TS1 level

  13. My first CC2 levelset is here! A 40-level installment called "Chipit or Whiffit"! Check the download page here for more details: Feel free to leave any feedback in this thread, on the download page, or by pinging me (@ajm-i-am) in the Chip's Challenge Bit Busters Club Discord server. Also, note that all 40 of these levels are being submitted for CCLP consideration, and all 40 of them have notes under the Comments box in CC2's editor, so check those out if you're curious. Enjoy!

This is the full release of my first Chip's Challenge 2 custom levelset. Are you smart enough, brave enough, persistent enough to persevere through all 40 of the challenges contained within? Or will you whiff it and bail out? Only one way to find out... There are 40 levels in this pack, as well as a .c2g file to make them playable as a set in Chip's Challenge 2. 33 of them are unique to this set, and the other 7 were submitted to various level design contests here on CCZone. (4 of those are remakes of CC1 contest levels that didn't have a CC1 set to call a home.) There are several casual levels, but due to the pack's small size the difficulty ramps up fairly quickly. I recommend you have moderately good knowledge of CC2 mechanics before attempting this set. (Playing the first half of CC2 should suffice.) Also, after you play each level, feel free to load it in the editor and open the Properties dialog box--I left comments describing their history! I hereby submit all 40 levels in this set to be considered for all CC2 community level packs. However, note that Level 23 (Sticky Controls) forbids boot dropping (and mentions this in the hint). It can't really be redesigned to avoid this easily. Depending on the rules of community level packs, this may disqualify it from consideration. I would like to give thanks to mobius and chipster1059 for playtesting parts of this set. Their feedback helped me adjust some frustrating sections to be a bit easier. I have also included a "rejects" set of levels that were either unfinished, prototypes of actual levels, or just deemed not good enough to make the final 40. Out of those, I submit "Roasted Apples" for CCLP consideration. The others I'm not submitting, as they're either too simple, obviously incomplete, or too similar to levels in the actual set.
  15. I made a WIP set before called FLX0 but never got around to adding more than 6 levels, I've taken 4 of those (with some minor modifications) and made new levels for FLX1 I plan on adding more to this set starting with just 8 levels though. Feedback is appreciated and once I'm done with this I'll use this set as my CC2LP1 submission

  18. Hi Chipland, I have recently formed a staff for CC2LP1. It consists of The Architect, chipster1059, H2O, Zane Kuecks, random 8, Ruben Spaans, and Tyler Sontag (me). The submissions deadline has been decided to be 31 May, 2019 at 23:59 in whatever timezone you're in. Be sure to post in the call for submissions thread if you want your levels to be considered for voting! ~ Tyler

A fully comprehensive MSCC skin for CC2, not a single sprite or tile has not been looked over. Several of the tiles in here however are taken from other sets, the numbers are a few too many to count but basically if you made an MSCC styled CC2 sprite its probably in here. Everything in this sheet has been reduced to the original 16 colours of the base game and all CC2 sprites have been adjusted to better fit the MSCC style. Feel free to edit parts of this and use the tiles in your own set, I would be honoured if you did. Issues: some tiles aren't exactly perfect, such as the foil which I couldn't get exactly right but is still somewhat MSCC, and the dirt patch tile which doesn't match its original MSCC appearance as I didn't want to give people who use smooth scrolling a seizure, logic gates remain unchanged other than colours as modifying those would A. throw people off and B. they already look fine. Enjoy the Set! Credits: scutilla: for the original CC2 MS tileset that was improved heavily upon Sickly Silver Moon: for most of the original overhaul work Ryan J.: changes to many many tiles throughout iterations, solely responsible for the new ghost, and stay up + push down walls ncrecc: For many new tiles and improvements including removal of animations and the new Transmogrifier and slime The Chip's Challenge Discord Server Members: for their continued support, ideas, and suggestions for improvement (Notably: Indy, IHNN, Chipster, Tyler, Naemuti, Flareon350, Cowman_133, Vehudur / Lessinath, Sharpeye & the other marketers; and plenty others who Chipped in to help and improve) Ed Halley: for creating the original Microsoft tileset used in the Microsoft WEP release, without that this project wouldn't exist And finally: You: for taking the time to download and use this tileset, or even just consider looking at it. Without you this project would be pointless, thank you.
  20. In the beginning Chuck created the Chip's Challenge. Now the game has come to us in many forms and we've filled many empty levels with tiles. Then Chuck said "Let there be Chip's Challenge 2". Chuck saw that the game had fans, so it was eventually released to us on Steam. There was the newsgroup and there was CC Zone — the places for all your CC needs. One of those needs is the need for a Walls of competition in February. This year it's time to explore the levels of CC2 through this lense. Your task is to pick a level from CC2 and use its arrangement of walls to create a new level. You can pick any level from the range #1-#200, then delete anything you want except for any walls, and finally rebuild it into a new level. If you wish, you can also pick another prominent tile in the level and replace it with some other tile exactly. Not all the levels in the set are ideal candidates for this exercise, but with more levels than the other sets we've used, there should still be plenty of choices available for your ideas. I also realize that there are more types of walls in CC2 than there are in CC1, so you can use your own judgement on what to count as a wall. Random 8 is working on a template set for your convenience, so a large thank you in that direction! Some basic notes: Make a level or two for playing in CC2 from the walls of one of the levels in CC2. Send in your submissions to me at valeosote at hotmail dot com. The deadline for the competition is March 3rd where you live. The entries will be judged by chipster1059. THANKS! If you are so inspired, you can also make a CC1 level from the walls, but these levels might not be ranked in the competition. If you have any questions, speak boldly! Enjoy! -Miika Some technical notes:

This is my miscellaneous Chip's Challenge 2 levelset, akin to my CC1 version ZKIdeas. It will contain any and all silly ideas that don't fit into my main CC2 levelsets. (Warning: this levelset does contain foul language)
  22. I can record solutions perfectly for very small and brief levels. (see first level attached). But after a certain amount of time (200-400 seconds?) it seems it causes it to fail for some reason and afterward (after it says "record complete" pressing F3 acts like it did not save at all. It does not seem to matter about what I do in the level or if I pause or tab away from the program. (see other attached level. Which, btw, is not very big or long compared to average standards). Anyone else have this problem? or any ideas on how to fix or what to do would be appreciated. Seeing as solutions must be recorded in order to upload to steam this is kind of an important problem. hook or crook.c2m defend fortress.c2m
  23. Greetings Chipsters, In honor of CCLP4 submissions being opened three years ago today, I would like to semi-officially open level submissions for the first CC2 community pack. There have been conversations on the Discord about when submissions should open and who would like to be on the CC2LP1 staff and I've expressed my interest in leading the project and have received support from others. So, while the staff is not finalized, I would like to get the ball rolling by opening CC2 pack submissions, which I will maintain in a Google Doc and post here once it's more populated. You can submit your pack by letting me know here or on Discord, or letting someone know who will be sure to let me know OFFICIAL SUBMISSION RULES: What to submit: Your submissions need only be C2M files. C2G files are not required and are not even encouraged. Levels will be jumbled during the voting process and the final pack assembly so C2G files are unnecessary. This also means advanced scripting (level warps, inventory setting, etc.) are implicitly banned since they aren't contained within a C2M file. Before the submissions deadline, you may submit any level without restriction. However, after the deadline there will be a six-week (length tentative, could be extended) period in which you may fix the levels you submitted to conform to the following rules or withdraw levels from consideration. Obvious criteria: no unsolvable levels, no busted levels, no levels that have appeared in any official level pack before, no blatant level mods Level content: It has been decided that no contents other than those listed above will restrict a level from being accepted into voting. CC1 boot levels, zero directional blocks, blank no signs, any misc hex edited tiles, hide logic, and inaccessible bonuses are allowed. Viewport, RNG setting, and map size can be anything. No preliminary bans were put it effect since these levels are in the minority and the voting results will better gauge community interest in these types of levels. Level solutions: MUST be provided. This is mostly to reduce time staff spends testing submitting levels (which, I know from CCLP1 and CCLP4, takes a while). If you are having technical troubles recording solutions to your levels, we can accommodate. Level submission deadline is May 31st at 11:59 pm in whatever timezone you live in (technicality: they official close on 11:59am June 1st UTC, since that when the last timezone will cross midnight, but please try to get your levels in early anyway :D) ~ Tyler Sontag
  24. Which Chip's Challenge game of the Chip's Challenge saga do you play the most? Now that Chip's Challenge 2 has been out for some time, I was wondering if there are users out there who have completely left Chip's Challenge since the release of the sequel, users that still play Chip's Challenge every once in a while, or users that still play the first Chip's Challenge most of the time. As for me, I knew about Steam before Chip's Challenge 2 came out, never had it though, and am in no rush to get it, but I might consider getting it so I can get my hands on CC2. So even though lately I haven't been chipping much at all, everytime I have, it was with CC1 (or Tile World).
  25. Hello, Bit Busters! I've been working on some CC2 levels for a while, and decided I'd show off what I've assembled so far (20 levels) to see what people think. Several of these levels are based around exploring concepts with specific new design elements. This will be the start of my first main CC2 custom level set, which will probably end up containing at least 50, and hopefully 100, total levels. Some of these levels are brand-new, never-before-seen designs, and others are submissions for CC2 level design contests or ports of submissions for CC1 level design contests that I never put in any of my other sets. The levels are sequenced in the order I built them, not by difficulty. All of these levels are to be considered submitted for any and all CC2 community level packs we make in the future. Please let me know what you think of the levels, which ones are easiest/hardest, and if you discover any busts or problems. Happy Chipping! EDIT: Jeffrey already found a bust in Casino Royale, so I'll work on fixing that and upload a new version, possibly tomorrow. EDIT 2: Updated! Now at Version 0.201.
