  1. Does anyone else think we should make a CC Zone channel on Youtube? This way we can post the winning competition entries on Youtube.
  2. It needs to be done! Could you imagine a Lynx version of the game and when you die and 3D sound effects of hearing Bummer on the screen?
  3. It's interesting to hear people's stories on when they first played Chip's Challenge. I must have been about 3 or 4 when I first bumped into it. It was the first computer in our house and it was Windows 3.1 and it had the Windows Entertainment Pack, and no surprisingly Chip's Challenge was the game I played on it the most. The game's memories became lost in me for a while, but then I remembered the name of the game all of a sudden again. What about you?
  4. Ok guys, TomP4 will be coming sometime this year. I've only got 20 more levels left to hit the big 149. Here's what to expect: - TomP4 will continue on from TomP3. - TomP4 will be split up into different worlds and follow a storyline like TomP2. - 4 TomP levels so far have sequels: Chip Alone, Runaway Train, Solve The Pyramid, and Final Destination. - TomP4 will be the last of my levelsets that follows Chip McCallahan. - All TomP4 levels will be Lynx compatible. - The difficulty of most TomP4 levels range from easy to medium. Level screenshots will be coming soon, as well as a demo download of TomP4!
  5. So most of us at the moment are hooked at Chip's Challenge because we are on this site, right? But is there a time where you just want to relax and have like a half - one year gap between making and playing Chip's Challenge levels to do other things? I had a stop-gap last year but then all of a sudden my interest in Chip's Challenge came back! What do you guys think?
  6. What do you use to record your Chip's Challenge footage with? I usually just use Chipcap for level solutions, but for Let's Play videos I like to have the sound of the game in the background so I record with CamStudio or Hypercam for sound included. What is your preference on this?
  7. On Chip's Challenge, you know the teleporters? Well, I tried them out on the editor yesterday and noticed that they act different on both the Microsoft and Lynx versions of the games. I did a teleporter-1 ice tile-teleporter pattern in loads of rows, and the Microsoft version did the teleporters correctly by making a pink ball go through them one by one downwards facing east, but on the Lynx version it just kept going through the same row of teleporters over and over again! What's up with that?
  8. So guys, what is your favourite Chip's Challenge 1 secret level. These are levels 145-149 and you can't get to these levels without a password. My personal favourite is SPECIAL because I think it is genius to have the exit hidden under a block, and casual players would never guess where it was. Your thoughts?
  9. I've added a TWS files section on the CC Zone download database. Hopefully it's all working, but if you want somewhere to upload your proof of achieving something, it's now possible and can also be used for trying to gain awards. I won't be using AVI recording uploads, at least not yet.
  10. Hello Chipsters! I decided to revive the competitions from the old CC Zone. You may already recognise two so far. They are: Create: Chipsters will have to make a level based on specific requirements and will be judged overall as the best. Time Trial: Fastest to complete a level, or a specific group of levels at once. I would also like to introduce a new competition. Treasure Hunter: Collect as many chips, keys, and boots while finishing the level at the same time. More announcements and competitions to come soon!
