  1. Version 0.6

SuperCC is an MSCC emulator written in Java, featuring rewinds, savestates, and much more! All new versions and stable releases are now hosted https://supercc.bitbusters.club/, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. The .zip file is the last version Markus uploaded, and is now considered to be depreciated and very old and unstable.
  2. So I want to play the MS ?Windows? version of CCLP3. I've download the CCLP3 files (off this website) to my computer, but I can't figure out how to get the files to make them work with MS. I have already downloaded the original CC and CCLP2, but I don't understand (after at least a day of trying to figure it out) how to connect the CCLP3 files with the original CC game. I went to a different site and downloaded Chip's Controls (formerly ChipPlay), but I couldn't figure out how to use it. Any help would be massively appreciated. Thank you.

    CC3 Wishlist

Chip's Challenge 3 is apparently happening eventually. Here are some improvements from CC2 that I would like to see. Need-to-haves: A sand tile. This would block monsters and blocks but allow Chip and Melinda (with hiking boots?) to cross. There is no tile with these properties in CC2 while even Chuck's Challenge has one. Using fake green walls as a block blocker is awkward. A no-drop tile. An overlay tile that prevents boots from being dropped on it. Blank no signs and no signs with irrelevant tools technically do the job but they are unsightly and don't convey their intent as well as a dedicated tile would. Native support for zero-directional blocks. This is the most commonly used "hacked" tile and is a logical extension of the other directional blocks. Wiring on a separate layer. Wiring in CC2 is powerful, but still held back by their restriction to being placed on just floor and steel walls. The ideal solution is to combine the best of CC1's connection system and CC2's wiring system and allow wires to exist on a dedicated layer. Visibility while playing a level could be toggled by a key and they could appear as a transparent overlay. This would also fix the oddity of pink and black buttons not appearing when hide logic is on. More consistent monster behavior. Bugs and rovers should not avoid canopies. Fireballs and ghosts with flippers should not avoid turtles. Rovers with fire boots should not avoid fire. Support for bowling balls starting on clone machines. The ghost setup takes up an absurd amount of space for such a simple result. Allow blocked green teleports to be skipped over. Support for lowercase letters. Give teeth monsters north-facing tile, and give blue teeth the same number of animation frames as red teeth. Automatic recording while playing a level, like Tile World's. This should be easy to apply to normal play since it already exists in the editor. Higher res graphics, 64x64? No 3D graphics like Puzzle Studio or Chuck's Challenge please Extra green chip/bomb tiles. More diverse sound effects. CC2 has fewer sound effects than the original Lynx game despite the wealth of new elements. Important bug fixes: Disallow hooks from attempting to pull monsters. Disallow the player from being able to slap monsters. If blocks can be pushed consecutively on floor, allow them to be pushed consecutively on force floors. Trap logic fix, including multiple trap button problems and the issues with wired traps Consistent snatching and hook block slapping behavior (i.e. not monster order related) Flame jet max distance fix The two disappearing Chip glitches and the Waterbirth glitch Thin wall on closed side of railroad should not have any effect except when the RR sign is equipped Allow player to step off force floor if they start the level on them Allow key inventory to exceed 255. Want-to-have fun stuff: Allow blocks to be pushed at 2x speed when Chip has speed boots. Make blocks have no effect on recessed walls. This would revert their behavior back to CC1. Ice blocks and directional blocks would still be able to be pushed on them, and turtles could still retain the CC2 "flicking" behavior. More thin tiles: walls are the only tiles to have thin versions of them even though other tiles could be adapted to this concept. Puzzle Studio has thin toggle walls. Thin gravel, thin force floors, thin recessed walls, etc. have potential. Lasers: Puzzle Studio and Escape have these. A beam it shot in one (or more) directions until stopped by a wall and other elements like blocks and perhaps monsters. Chip dies when hit by the beam. Maybe a beam receiver that converts the beam to an electrical current. Reflectors: Chuck's Challenge has these, though they apply to the spitter enemy. Pushable block that reflects bowling balls and lasers 90 degrees. Could be rotated with train tracks. Logic gate enhancements: Add NOR and XNOR gate for completeness. Add diodes which allow current in only one direction, the ability to specify a delay in frames from 1-10, which will make synchronizing circuits easier and remove the need for chained OR gates (Circuit City contains an example of long OR gate chains) "Frictionless" blocks (don't have a better name): Copy of the yellow blocks from Escape. These are blocks, once pushed in some direction, that continue on a straight path until they hit an obstacle. Think of tanks but pushable in any direction by Chip. Score gate: Exists in Challengo, essentially a socket that the player can open if they have enough points but will deduct from their score.
  4. so I was wondering if there was any way to convert .dat, .c2m, .pzm, and .tws into each other. some kinds of conversion tools like dat2c2g, maybe recreate the files using a level editor or something else? file information for anyone who doesn't recognize some of the files formats .dat files: chip's challenge level set files. .c2m files: chip's challenge 2 level set files. .pzm files: PuzzleStudio level files. .tws: tile world level set files.

986 levels. That's right, 986. The levelset with the largest number of levels. For a levelset including only the good levels in this set, I recommend JacquesS1, but Jacques.dat has 763 more levels for you to... enjoy, I guess.
  7. Hello friends! The best chips challenge iPhone port game Will's World recently disappeared from all AppStores countries, people like me that used to have this game in their AppStore account, lost them due to a "mass deletion" from Apple (who knows why). I'm wondering if anyone here have the IPA file (game installation) (from iTunes Backup, or anyone that have jailbreak that could backup the game exporting it to IPA with some tool like iFunbox, iMazing, iBackupBot or similar) and make it available to us that wanting this back to our iOS's devices. I have updated my iPhone recently from scratch and i lost this game and now the surprise! the download isn't available anymore. I've been looking for this game everywhere on the internet and there is nothing about it. I tried search for developer contact on website (www.stadiagames.com) but there is no email address, no contact form, nothing! ON google, just the nickname "stadiajack" and nothing more. The only information that i've gathered is via WHOIS on website that lead me to an email but i can't get response on it. I really love Chips Challenge, this game delivered me hours of fun, Apples deletion attitude isn't fair to the game developer and we players. If anyone could help us to get this game again, it will be very helpful ! Thank You all.
  8. Hi everyone! Does this happen to anyone else? You go to the Chip's Challenge yahoo group and click on any .dat or .ccl file, old or new, and it just says Document Not Found. It happens to every .dat or .ccl file, and it's annoying, well at least it happens to me on my computer. Does anyone know if it's something temporary, or something's wrong? Or does it only happen to me? In the meantime, I'll try on a different computer, or try to download levels from a different site (if I can find one).
  9. In my "CCHack crazy" days, I've been told about CCINI, a fine program for modifying Entpack.ini setting for Chip's Challenge. I remember it's very easy to use, as long as you know how. The thing is that since those days ended, it's been sitting in my "CC" folder, untouched. The other day I was thinking of using it, but, I forgot how. Comes with ccini_export, ccini_import, ccini.exe, and ccini.dll I think the only thing you have to touch is ccini_export, and I tried just that, but didn't succeed. Can anyone tell me how to use it, again? I won't forget again, promise.
  10. Working preview of a potential early level for JBLP2.
  11. Hi everyone, just stopping by CCZone: The next level now and then, and this time I'm here to announce a future levelset I have in mind with a theme: The elevator levels. Now, don't ask me why, but lately I have been thinking of elevators (or, how Tom P would say: lifts ) And one day I had, not a brainstorm, but more like a "brain-hurricane" about ideas for elevator themed levels. I hope all of those ideas survive until the day I decide to start making this levelset, because although I'd love to start right now, I'm in a sort of "study or die" situation. But soon, I'll be spending most of my free time on this levelset. I don't know how difficult it will be, depends on my inspiration and how my level-making skills will be (if they improve or stay the same), and, most importantly, on ideas. However, since I've been already having ideas, I think it'll end up a pretty good and fun levelset. I think it'll be realesed in the late months of this year or early days of next year. I estimate it'll be in between 30 and 50 levels, I hope no fewer, because I find less than 30 a little too short. I am looking forward to finishing and sharing this levelset, I'm saying this because my other one which I keep talking about, however, doesn't proceed. About that one, I'll start talking about it again when I see that I'm really going to work on it and put effort into it because I may be getting people's hopes up, for nothing, or for something that's not going happen until a long time. I've been having personal troubles with it (such as lack of inspiration, impatience. doing something else instead of CC, etc.) so that's why it has not been advancing. So , there was a bit of stuff offtopic in that paragraph, now I'm back ontopic. The story will be something like: Chip was just about to exit the Bitbuster's building, he takes the elevator, it stops and stays stranded for some time. He waits. Nothing happens. He lays down. He stares at the ceiling, and is slowly becoming asleep, then he falls asleep, and has a long dream about the levelset, in other words, the levelset is the dream Chip has while sleeping, trapped in the elevator. The rest of the story, I haven't thought of yet, or maybe I have, or maybe,... it's a surprise? Well, there went some of the levelset infomation now, here's an interesting part; I will list some of the possibly future levels' titles: -The right floor... -Riding with other riders -A building with no elevator -A/The secret elevator -An elevator with mirrors -Freefalling elevator nightmare -Going up, going down -Destination: rooftop -Emergency exit -Get to floor 4 b4 4 (before 4 o'clock, this is probably gonna be a race-against-time level) -The need to insert a key -Jump to car #02 -Elevator music -Ding! -Elevator on fire -Shafting -Runaway elevator/(the) escaping elevator/the elevator escapes! If you have any ideas, or title names, feel free to post them! (or questions, suggestions, etc.)

    MO2

Hello everyone, MO2 has been released. The set contains 28 levels. All levels have been playtested in lynx and should work in MS as well. There is no real difficulty curve, except the hardest levels are at the end. Don't forget to discuss the levels or report any problems in this thread. Have fun! Download -Markus
