The Thing

Recommended Posts

[For the origins of this game, see: http://cczone.invisi...ndpost__p__2660]

In this game, a thing will be described in relation to other things and stuff, none (or very few) of which will be named - and you have to guess what that thing is. As with all site games, CC related things are always more fun.

Clear? Good. Let's begin.

So I'm talking about that thing in CC - you know, the thing that stops the things, and which you get when that other thing goes in the stuff?

Dirt?

Correct!

Who wants to go next? :)

(Note: The thing doesn't necessarily have to be a thing kind of thing: it could be an abstract thiiing (e.g. an explosion), a thingy with other things in it (e.g. a level), or anythink else that you can thing of...)

There's that CC thing, ya know, that runs around and bounces off of other things, and in some cases is comes back and sometimes it does other things and in that one ruleset is sort of priedictable.

A walker. :)

There's this CC thing in which things are created that contain other things.

I must confess that I'm already getting slightly annoyed by this inanity myself. :P

But anyway, let's try a level: a CCLP3 level - in which you have to send some things into some other things, but you can't, so you put the things between other things and then with the help of some cool stuff you can do it?

Ok I think I got this down!

So this is a level from CCLP2 -- It has a combination of things that everyone hates, where things that move back and forth with a press of a thing and has 280 things.

Nope, it happens in my things when someone (possibly me) was recently caught doing something. This thing happened twice in my recent thing about a thing I didn't like. :teeth:

No... but if one were to falsely claim copyright on one of my things they would be this thing... and then this thing would happen in one of my future things...

OK. There's these thngs in a level of CCLP3, where you go through things and push things to 5 things at the end to get to the thing. It's a pretty frustrating and well-hated thing.

Hmm...that might not work either.

"In this level there's a thing where you have to do a thing that you would never guess unless you looked in the editor or tried it 1,000 times, and after doing that thing you have to sidestep the thing that you don't know about because the thing breaks every rule you learned in CC1."

[That was my description of approximately 34% of CCLP2 levels]

All of the above...and more!

For bonus points (or an easy route towards developing carpal tunnel syndrome), feel free to type out all the names of the other applicable levels.

Except I won't agree with your cynicism there, as you're describing a handful of levels which doesn't render proper justice to all the others which were absolutely fantastic (and represent like 130 levels in the lot?!)...

Whatever, it's a thing...

Oh, and you know that thing that goes in your thing when taken with a thing?

It's the thing that goes in your thing several times per day every day, whether you're a thing or not

Just out of curiosity...what's the final "thing"?

So... It's a CCLP3 level (I don't care if it's easy) where you have to put these things into these other things by getting these things blocking the way.

You know, the thing that's thingy, but exists only at certain parts of the thing, on our things?

Nope, it's a thing that exists only under certain things, otherwise it's something else, it's thingy and thingy, and relates to the thing.

Nope. It relates to one of the four things of the thing. It exists only under certain things, and it's very thingy.

nope. I'm starting to believe that my puzzles are too hard

It can't be found everywhere, and it's made of one of the 4 things you found. It's pretty much what makes the one of the 4 things (not the same 4 things as earlier in this sentence, but the same 4 things as earlier in the topic) which it relates to, that thing, above all things.

But how can something be "made of" one of the seasons? (C.F. post #80) I suppose you could say that "a year" is "made of" the seasons, but that doesn't fit with the rest of the clues.

I was thinking of the four elements, and I think some other people were too...

Snow was it. As it seems that I have to justify every use of "thing", let's do it...

You know, the thing that's cold, but exists only at certain parts of the year, on our lawns/fields?

It's a thing that exists only under certain temperatures, otherwise it's something else, it's white and cold, and relates to the winter.

It's associated to one of the four seasons.

It relates to one of the four seasons of the year. It exists only under certain temperatures, and it's very cold.

It can't be found everywhere, and it's made of one of the 4 elements you found. It's pretty much what makes the one of the 4 seasons (not the same 4 things as earlier in this sentence, but the same 4 things as earlier in the topic) which it relates to, that season, above all things.

To someone else, you may proceed :P

Also, just for fun, the rankings:

KeyboardWielder - 3pts

BitBuster - 2pts

Flareon350 - 2pts

BigOto2 - 2pts

Markus - 1pt

jblewis - 1pt

quiznos00 - 1pt

rockdet - 1pt

That's mostly what I eventually figured out, except for the lawns/fields, and I thought temperatures was climates.

In the end, it was pretty logical, I guess... :P

It was the first sentence that was misleading on two counts: "on our" seemed to imply some kind of possession, and "but only at certain parts of the thing" sounds like places of the same thing.

Well I guess I'll save myself the trouble of guessing the next one by starting it... :chipwin:

It's the thing that you can see in people's things, which is supposedly like their thing. And those who don't have one get the same thingy thing.

OK, so there's this thing where you have to get the thing in the thing in order to win, and do so in the least amount of things. It's an Internet thingy.

Oh and you know that thing that keeps you from seeing through the things?

(there are multiple correct awnsers to this)

The thing that does the related thing that makes the noise that causes the thing to be called the thing.
