Which is the best? I like all 3 consoles but I think the Xbox 360 is the best for multiplayer, while the Wii is the most innovative of the 3. The PS3 is in the middle but the one I play on the least. Nothing can beat the PC so I didn't put that in the poll for obvious reasons.

My pick has to be Nintendo Wii, since I'm a loyal Nintendo customer. Though, the most interesting bunch of games and features have to be on the Microsoft XBox 360, which I really wish to get myself.

I'd have to say wii, mainly because I'm a Nintendo fan, but also because I've never played on a PS3 and because XBox 360 has such weird controls for me. The Xbox 360 also gets too many errors and stuff like that, and the selection of games wouldn't be allowed in my family.

The Wii wins it for me, since it is home of all the Mario games and lots of other games which I really like and that don't involve shooting and blood and stuff like that. Although it could have been much better. Us MKWii hackers are always having to deal with lag in our custom tracks because we make them too complex........ lol. And the lack of HD is annoying too.

I'm partial to the Wii, mainly because I feel like Nintendo knows how to cater to a wide demographic. There's only so much you can do when you're making FPS games and the like (even if that's not all the other consoles provide - but that seems to be the main draw) for an audience primarily comprised of twentysomethings who live alone and are encouraged to spend an enormous amount of time playing - and obviously won't be able to keep this up when they have families and other responsibilities to which they will have to attend eventually. On the other hand, Nintendo's primary audience are those who grew up on the Super NES and the like. They understand that these people probably don't have all the time in the world to play, and they probably have kids who would enjoy being introduced to their flagship franchises. And Nintendo knows this with every Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc. game they continue to release. :)

I'd have to say Wii since its the only one of the 3 I have. I used to have a PS3 but it overheated :P

It's annoying because almost all the games on the Xbox 360 are also on the PS3 and vice versa. The Wii is the only console where most of the games stay to that console. Has anybody else noticed? <_<

It's more annoying when a game on one system isn't on the other... I want LittleBigPlanet for Xbox 360, dammit! It seems that PS3 has more exclusives, which is fine, but I'd much rather play on the 360 than on PS3.

True. Oddily enough, I'd say the Xbox 360 has the least exclusives, and the Wii has the most because of the motion controls (Unless you count the Xbox 360 and PS3 ripoffs).

It's going to be interesting to see what the game ecosystem looks like for the Wii U when it's released.

Yeah, I'm really hyped up for that this year. My only concern is that it's going to be really expensive. (N)

Wow, a subsection of the Internet where the Wii is more popular than the PS3 or X-Box 360? This surprised me, since this isn't really a Nintendo-themed forum. If anything, there should be a plethora of X-Box 360 fanboys, because the most well-known version of Chip's Challenge was published by Microsoft.

I just grew up on Nintendo and Mario, so it's Wii for me. I like video games, but somehow the game libraries of the other consoles don't really appeal to me for some reason I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe I just don't consider myself enough of a hardcore gamer. So gimme Mario!

This post was brought to you by Not Being Very Articulate: because being articulate is something Nintendo fanboys (excluding perhaps jblewis) can't do!

Technically it's a Game Boy Advance Micro -- it only plays Advance games. I have a copy of SMW for the Advance, just have to get the handset back from the boy -- who just got a 3DS. It turns out the newer ones don't play Advance games, so he needs to get an SP or something.

Also, we still have a somewhat-functioning SuperNintendo and a SMW cartridge, so if I really want to -- I can pull that out. Awesome in 42 inches.

Heh! I'd read so much on TV Tropes about New Super Mario Bros. Wii being "Nintendo Hard", so I was scared of it. I'd beaten SMB1, SMB3, SMW, and NSMB, but when I hear "Nintendo Hard", I think of the Lost Levels, where I've never managed to beat 8-4 (and beating 8-3 was a frustrating failure-filled task in itself). Much to my surprise, though, I managed to beat the game the first time with the "you're terrible at video games, so here's a block you can hit to make Luigi beat the level for you" only showing up in 7-1. On my second playthrough, I actually beat 7-1 on my first try, and eventually managed to get 100% completion! World 9 was pretty hard, sure, but honestly, I'd say it was easier than Lost Levels was.

Anyhow, that was very, very off-topic and silly, for which I apologize.

Honestly, while certain changes in the Super Mario World remake for GBA would make purists cringe (it takes two hits instead of one to turn Cape or Fire Mario into Small Mario, a few modified levels are now easier), I think the game makes up for it by making Dragon Coins actually count for 100% completion. Searching for Dragon Coins in the remake allowed me to appreciate the level designs more than I ever had before. Plus, some of those Dragon Coins have been moved to more interesting locations, and levels which didn't have them before (excluding the Switch Palaces and Bowser's Castle) have them added. Granted, adding Dragon Coins to a remade version of a level like Star World 3 or Donut Ghost House makes it obvious that the levels weren't originally designed to have Dragon Coins in them. *laughs* Still, I'd say both versions of the game are worth playing!

I'd go with the PS3 90%, sure, Xbox is better for multiplayer, but I hardly ever use multiplayer, besides, also because it has the best graphics. The remaining 10% goes to wii because of some of its Mario games.
