Hilarious Passwords

Recommended Posts

Normally CC editors randomize passwords, but occasionally the random password generator pulls up something funny or even inappropriate. Sometimes, level designers even set their own passwords for some or all of the levels, like I did for 2 levels in BigOto Returns. What are some of the favorite/funniest/most inappropriate passwords you have ever come across?

Some of my favorites include "GULP" generated by the random generator when trying numerous times to get a password that didn't sound like anything, "DMCA" which I chose for Matched Third Party Content (which fits the theme of copyright), and I plan to set Vivid Dream's password to "RTNA" for obvious reasons if you've been watching my videos. I also know it is possible to set a password with numbers or more than 4 characters but I don't plan on doing so since those tend to mess things up. Currently BigOto Returns has a password that is on thin ice of being inappropriate, which was generated randomly, and was not caught by me before the latest update, but I'm not saying exactly what it is up here on the main post.

Often I hit the generate password button until I get something interesting, and the only thing I've gotten was "HATE", which is the password to Monster Science Theatre 3000 in TS1

I've gotten "OVUM" and "ERIC" in the past. Also, "FFUQ" was the original randomly generated password for "Beat the Heat" in CCLP3...and then Madhav discovered it. :)

Right now, my new set has levels with the passwords "ACEZ," "DOET," "SASS," and "TRAP."

Alright, here's the inappropriate one I was talking about in the main post, in BigOto Returns:

ANIS

It'll be removed in the next update.

BHLS1 Level 90 has a password of 'KWOW'. The level made Josh say that in his LP.

It was randomly generated too...

I don't remember for randomly generated ones, but I wish I had BILL as a password for one of my levels :P

I've seen Blue put FINAL in one of his, pretty hilarious. I have GULP and EASY in Alpha.

I still do not get the BILL thing.

I used to care what my passwords are, but now I just let them get generated. I set "usepasswords=n" all the time anyway.

I don't get the BILL thing either. Can someone (Rock?) explain this?

It's a meme Rock started in which he would talk to an imaginary person named Bill about level design in his LPs. :)

That's the name of a herb in Swedish.

It's also the name of a person in India.

And curiously, I met a guy with that name just 10 minutes ago.

The password ChipEdit originally generated for YCTaOFNT was "BOMB".

Wow, it's amazing how a word that is highly regarded as PG-13 in one culture can actually mean something totally different in another. I've seen many examples of this, but I won't go into too much detail.

Geez, if I got "BOMB" from the password generator on any level it would make my day right there.

Ooh kinda coincidental indeed.

Hey, hey - YCTaOFNT is anything but a bomb. :)

Yeah it is a bomb; the ultimate BOMB of :teeth: levels. Bomb can indicate both good or bad depending on the person.

I think it'd be funny if the password generator offered something CC-related...you know, like "Chip" or "Exit" or "Blob" or "Bumr."

Bloblake was created with only one goal in mind, and the idea came from my TomP1 Let's Play, nothing else.

Worth mentionning for the record, that the bomb I'm talking about is of course the wtfbbqragebomb.

Just offhand, also a person's name in Tunisia (my musical quest turns up a bassist named Anis from there) and anise in Spanish. :)

As part of the creative process, I have always carefully crafted each password to reflect the character of the level. After all, anyone with an editor can find out any password you have.

I remember when I was little, I was stuck on "Nuts and Bolts" in the ice section for so long that I started creating a master list of potential passwords to try out so I could attempt to reach "Brushfire" (Yes, this was before I knew of the "You seem to be having trouble..." message). Never mind the fact that there are 456,976 possibilities. :P

That's 1000 in base 26.

It would only take 7000 tries to reach nice day.

And with Tile World only wanting the password and not the level number, the probabilities of guessing them are much lower!

They should make it so you can enter a level number into Tile World if the level has been unlocked, so we don't have to go fishing for passwords in the editor.

Actually, it is possible to enter a password only in MSCC.

Whuh?

Just press S (or in TW2, select Game -> Scores...)

Don't swear. Second verbal warning, next time you get possibly warned and/or suspended.

Codes? Is this still CC you are talking about? It'd be possible to do that in any editor.

By the way it is against the rules to swear on here, so I recommend editing stars into that before Tom sees...

One thing to note: We do expect PG13 language here, I understand how that may be difficult at times in this topic but please do what you can.

Yeah well, some newcomers don't realize that right away, but anyways it's been resolved. I was there myself when I was using a forum for the first time, and found myself on the thread of being banned.

Anyone realize it is possible to make a password with more than 4 letters? I never actually released a set with it and it only works in MS CC, but it's a pretty hilarious idea that could be used in insane sets.

I knew about this and it is a hilarious idea. What's even better about it is you can also use numbers for passwords as well. AND for even more hilarity, viewing a level with a password of numbers in an editor (at least for CCEdit 2.0 users) is impossible as an error message instantly pops up and exits you out of the editor. LOL

I think Chip's Workshop allows for this. Haha, I remember seeing these crazy passwords in the WilliamS* sets when this was discovered.

CCEdit allowed that at one point and probably still does. You can also use numbers and symbols in the password (Y)

Yeah, I'm very offended that the random password generator can't spell "anise". Anise is a critical ingredient in absinth!

Swear words are allowed, as long as they are censored with stars or other symbols.

Wow, I've been pretty busy lately.

Well, I was gonna say that I don't consider a**s that much of a innapropriate word, both men and women have one. And how one thing in one language can mean another thing in another language, there is a liquor in Spain called "Anís". Usually drank in christmas or new year's eve/day.

I'm guessing it's licorice (or anise) flavored? We have that here, but it's from Greece and it's called Sambuka. LOVE THAT STUFF.

If BLOBNET's password had been HIVE instead of HUVE, and DOUBLEMAZE's password had been LULZ instead of LUZL, that would have been good. It wouldn't have made the levels any better of course, but the touch would have been nice.

In Spanish, "año" means "year" in English. However, "ano" means that other word we were discussing above. In English you might say "Penne" to refer to pasta, however in Spanish pronunciation it would refer to the word "pene" which means another body part. So avoid that password at all costs too.

Ultimate Chip 4's Eruption (120) password is POOO.

And the most insane level ever from pi.dat is AHHH.

I've also got MELT from UC5 too though I don't exactly remember the title of that level.

Some funny ones in my opinion
