What's the weather like where you are?

Recommended Posts

It's friggin' cold today. I wore my coat and I was still shivering as I waited for the bus. Complete strangers were complaining to me about the cold spell. Naturally, I complained right back at them.

It's mid-April. It's after Easter. It should NOT be 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

We've had the exact opposite problem here in Texas: it seems to be warm almost all the time, even when it's supposed to be "winter." :P

Where I live, the weather is on crack.

Thunder in the sky, this it hails like crazy, this the sun comes out, then it pours rain, and recently a tornado about 30 miles south of my house. WTF MAN (Y)

Yeah, that's pretty crazy. Are you in northern or southern CA?

The weather was a bit warmer this morning. I hear it was actually nice last evening, but I wouldn't know, as I was inside doing work. I know that when I went out to the store at 3:30 this morning (stupid insomnia), I only needed a light jacket.

Josh -- the weather in Michigan is always on crack -- but at least we have Simpsons clouds.

Supposed to be nicer here today.

It's sunny out here. When you're trapped inside and your only link to the weather is via a window, it's sometimes better for you if it's sunny and cold as opposed to cloudy and warm.

Where I live (in the north-west of Italy) the weather is now sunny and there are less than 15 degrees Celsius, but we had two very hot days during the last weekend of May (we reached 30 degress Celsius).

The weather here in Seattle is actually quite good today. It's currently sunny and 54, but I wish it would get a bit warmer. At least it's not rain that we've been dealing with through March.

Tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, floods, blizzards, and volcano eruptions all at once.

It's pretty crazy, to say the least.

Describe it.. It can't have been very strong, or you wouldn't be worrying about posting.

Was it confirmed by the NWS as a tornado? If not, did you see rotating debris on the ground with cloud base rotation*? If not, it might have been something else like a microburst (which can have tornado strength winds).

*When there is tornadic rotation in the clouds, it's REALLY REALLY obvious. There's no mistaking it for anything else.

Also, for fun:

Thankfully, most tornadoes do not look like this (enjoy the stock image, lol):

This one reminds me of Cold War-era propaganda, for some reason:

Maybe it's the idyllic playground set against the ominous sky...who knows.

Sky let loose with a torrential downpour this morning. It'd been brewing since last night. Luckily I have my raincoat with me. (Y)

It's cold here. Very cold. I might just wear my winter coat tomorrow; forget how crappy I'd look.

It might rain tonight. I'm prepared as far as my raincoat goes. Can't say I look forward to the four mile walk home, though.

People, in general, suck. If there's only one life lesson that I've accumulated in my 23 years on Earth, that is it.

And the state itself can't be any worse than Indiana. At least CA is reliably blue. ;)

When I say the state itself, I mean the laws here. They are just so ridiculous! Well, at least we can pump our own gas in our cars here, as I heard that's illegal to do in Oregon :P feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though.

We have blue laws! You can't buy booze between midnight on Sunday and 7:00 AM on Monday!

Not to mention that we'll probably be one of the last non-deep-South states to legalize gay marriage.

Well, I can't really describe the weather here. One minute it's sunny, then the next it's raining, and then it's sunny again.

Or it's really sunny and then all of the sudden it's snowing like crazy.

Ouch! Rain that catches you unaware is truly nasty.

It's supposed to stay in the 40's here for a few more days. I am seriously bummed. It's the end of April and I'm wearing layers of coats; the heck???

Hey the weather is gonna be crazy here this weekend. It was in the high 90s last weekend, now it will be in the mid 60's WITH a chance of heavy rain by Thursday.

As are mine. I'm still suffering the residual side effects of the time last fall that I cut my eye on a piece of cardboard...

Not a pleasant experience.

Bitterly cold this morning; I was ill-dressed in a light raincoat that I'm presently wearing in the computer lab, so cold is it indoors. You can imagine the outside weather.

[/self pity]

It's been fabulous here this week. Unfortunately, we only get about a week of this per year. In no time it will be unbearably hot. Weather sux.

Utterly shocking.

It's a bit warmer today, but I still might have been able to get away with wearing a coat. On the plus side, it got so hot last afternoon that I was able to drive around on the highway with the windows down and not feel cold in the slightest. Life is was good.

It would be gorgeous, except that my allergies require the use of air conditioning during part of the day.

It's a beautiful day outside, but I've spent the entirety of it inside on ChessTempo.com, with occasional breaks to forums such as this one. I'm thinking about going outside, but then I keep saying, "One more problem, one more..."

Oh, yeah, and air conditioning...can't stand it. I used to sleep out on my porch. Best thing ever. If AC had never been invented, the quality of my life would be this much higher.

Sleeping on the porch has it's merits -- if it's screened-in. but my allergies have just gotten atrocious recenlty.

I have allergies too, but the way the AC dries me up is even worse. Oh, and my porch wasn't screened in. Didn't matter to me. I never had a problem (knock on wood).
