You'd probably despise my level "Eat Dirt," as it uses that floor pattern tha was in these three levels. ;)

Just the fact that it has "dirt" in it is already one strike....

What's so hypocritical is that I do use dirt in some of my levels.

What's wrong with dirt? :(

I don't know exactly. Seems like I have a deep-seated dislike for mostly-dirt levels. Maybe SPOOKS affected me more than I know.

Back on topic: THE PRISONER. A level that had me baffled until I learned about the quick-step (or whatever it's called).

Socialist Action - I never understood why this level has a time limit of 999.

It makes you think it's harder than it is.

I should seriously use that tactic in a new level sometime. :) (I guess "Skydiver's Maze" sort of already does...)

BRUSHFIRE --

"I mean, how's a noob supposed to know where he's going in that short amount of time? I think he should get about, 5 minutes, not one and a half minutes."

Well that IS the puzzle, you know. Makes you play it over and over again until you get it. These sorts of "have to play it a bunch of times" levels have lost favor in recent years, but they are valid and in the spirit of original CC.

If they're aesthetically pleasing enough, you can get away with it. I never minded fooling around with Brushfire, or even Cellblocked.

I really enjoyed CELLBLOCKED. Also SHORT CIRCUIT. These sorts of challenges can be fun, and we should consider them for CCLP1.

What I liked about Short Circuit was that there actually is a way to navigate the maze without guesswork - at least for the most part.

I didn't like Short Circuit, for some reason...maybe because it was one of those "wasted effort" levels (i.e. you feel bad if you screw up near the end 'cause you spent a lot of energy getting there). Even though you could cook Cellblocked, it never really bothered me.

I'm still not sure how I feel about Strange Maze. Decent concept, but I think the design could have been a lot better.

Yeah a lot of it was if you can see a chip you must go that way. But still it takes a few tries.

There is no guesswork involved in Short Circuit. If you just look ahead and use a bit of logic you can figure out which way to go. You just need to realise that you will come to each intersection twice, and figure out the path that will let you move on without blocking any other paths.

STRANGE MAZE - This was a pretty fun level. I really enjoy levels like this where you hunt for the chips between nearly all elements of the game.

SHORT CIRCUIT - This was really fun! I never did beat it at the age of 5; then recently on my YouTube video, it took about 10 tries.

CELLBLOCKED - "And I think I know where I'm going and... aww..."

-----------------------

Here's the rank I actually am right now.

CASTLE MOAT --- Just like Tom, I originally thought I had to build a bridge across the river/lake thing. I also like how this level is the only one in CC1 with sockets but no chips. :P

I remember it was Easter, and my cousin was playing CC, and she knew I was stuck on that level, and she found the flippers and came and got me so that she could tell me the secret. Good times.

I'm sitting at 999 posts right now - and my counter has a nifty yellow "1-2" in the level counter. :) Nice!

Morton - A level I used to never be able to beat because I didn't know you could trap the teeth in a pocket :/

Man, I was a stupid child...
